Zeeland East 2019 LB Boone Bonnema has committed to Western Michigan (Story)

Zeeland East 2019 LB Boone Bonnema after 6 MAC offers earned in 2018, is ready to shutdown his recruiting process as he committed to Western Michigan University on Thursday evening while visiting the campus.

Bonnema is a 6'3" 210 lbs LB prospect who had a phenomenal junior season as the Chix MLB.

Bonnema is an excellent downhill Linebacker as he had several tackles for loss and 2 blocked punts in 2017. Bonnema tracks the ball well from sideline-to-sideline. With his his physical attributes he could be utilized all over the defense at WMU. By the time he enters camp next summer he could potentially fill out his frame more and could see an OLB/DE hybrid in him.
