Although the L'Anse Creuse North Crusaders have struggled the past few seasons, the Crusaders still have quite a bit of talent dressing up each Friday night. One of the Crusaders few standouts in 2012 will be Senior receiver, Tyler Conklin. At 6'4 Conklin is a mismatch for mostly every defensive back in the area and MAC Blue division.

Tyler Conklin - "I have been in the weight room, I've been conditioning all off-season and have been working really hard trying to learn our new offense."

The D Zone - What separates you from other's who play the same position as you?

Tyler Conklin - "I feel like I separate myself from other receivers because I am 6'4, I can jump and run very good routes. Not to forget I have a good quarterback throwing to me."

The D - Zone - This off-season, L'Anse Creuse North was moved to the MAC Blue, where you guys will play L'Anse Creuse, what impact does that have, that you two will be in the same division?

Tyler Conklin - "It is already a great rivalry and being in the same division can only make it that much better!"

The D Zone - What were some memories you had growing up while watching L'Anse Creuse North or other teams?

Tyler Conklin - "I have a lot of memories from playing with the Mt. Clemens Barracudas from 4th to 6th grade."

The D Zone - What were you up to this Spring?

Tyler Conklin - "I visited several campuses for basketball and I have also visited Central Michigan for football."

The D Zone - What is a big game on your schedule that you have circled and why?

Tyler Conklin - "The big game would have to be L'anse Creuse, they beat us by one last year and it is our rival."

The D Zone - How important is it beating L'Anse Creuse and what does beating L'Anse Creuse mean to you, your teammates, and fans?

Tyler Conklin - "It is very important and means a lot to us and our school!"

The D Zone - If I had a college coach sent to you and he asked why he should have you on his team, what you tell him?

Tyler Conklin - "I would tell him I am a very athletic and tall receiver who is a good leader on and off the field and has a great work ethic and is very coach-able."

The D Zone - How has the recruiting process been going so far for you?

Tyler Conklin - "My coach has talked to almost every school in the MAC besides Western Michigan but the school I have had most contact with is Central Michigan. I went and visited there for their annual junior day."
