Detroit Central 2018 QB El-Julian Jordan decommitted from Western Michigan University late on Sunday evening.

The Trailblazers quarterback has been committed to the Broncos for over 8 months, but had a late change of heart 3 days prior to signing day.

"After many hours of thought and prayer," said Jordan. "My family and I believe that is in my best interest to open my recruitment process and decommit from Western Michigan University."

"This is an opportunity of a lifetime and I want to ensure that I make the absolute best and most informed decision possible. I want to thank Coach Lester, Coach Johns, and the entire Western Michigan staff for believing in me and for the opportunity."

The decommit is a huge blow to the Broncos 3 days prior to signing day as WMU is thin on quarterback depth and their starting QB Jon Wassink had a season ending injury in 2017.

The Broncos recruiting class of 2018 now only has 5 in-state commits.

El-Julian Jordan at the time of his commitment held offers also from; Bowling Green State, Illinois State, Eastern Michigan, and Northwood.
