Region 1:

Williamston has beaten a 1-seed and defeated Notre Dame Prep on the road without much resistance. The Hornets have had their backs against the wall all year and agreed to play at Escanaba in the UP at 7 pm on Friday night, which is a 6 hour drive. If a high school is 90 miles apart and they do not agree on the time, it will automatically be 1 pm on Saturday so props to Williamston for just not caring about when and where they play. Escanaba has 2 losses each by a touchdown apiece and rolled Alma out of town last week. Escanaba is the favorite here, guess we'll see what Williamston can do as they've been counted out already.

Prediction: Escanaba 34-21

Region 2:

Grand Rapids Catholic Central is fortunate to have Nolan Fugate who has carried the Cougars past 2 heavy underdogs the first two rounds. Belding as we predicted would outscore Comstock Park in a shootout. GRCC has been in cruise control the past 2 weeks and will stay in cruise control until the state finals.

Prediction: Grand Rapids Catholic Central 42-21
