An NFL.com article that ranked the top 50 returning college football players featured one lone Michigan high school graduate in Cass Tech 2015 RB Mike Weber at the #19 spot. Mike Weber won the Big 10 Freshman of the Year award in 2016 at Ohio State as the team reached the college football playoff.

Despite being an elite runningback in every regard since his junior year at Cass Tech, the media and it's writers have constantly compared him to former Ohio State RB Ezekiel Elliott who was a 1st round draft pick in 2016. The article states, "Many will compare Weber to former OSU back Ezekiel Elliott. Weber's cut-back ability, speed, and compact build make him tough to stop."

Mike Weber exceeded 1,000 rushing yards his freshman year and will have a bigger role in the offense as a redshirt sophomore. Weber was also 2nd team Big 10 and a Freshman All-American.

During his freshman and sophomore seasons at Cass Tech, the Technicians captured the Division 1 state championship. In his sophomore season Weber began to emerge as an unstoppable force. During his senior season in a regional playoff game Weber ran for 405 yards on 32 carries to cement his legacy as a high school recruit.

Mike Weber is listed on Ohio State's roster as 5'10 and 214 lbs

Hopefully in the future comparisons of Mike Weber can be compared to Mike Weber himself!
