Division 8 Round 2 Overview: Round 1 set the table for a very competitive District Finals week. Round 2 is sure to have some buzz.

Region 1:

District 1 - Norway at West Iron: The two lowest enrolled UP teams in the state collide. It's pretty even matched to us.

Prediction: West Iron 21-17

District 2 - Frankfort at Graylord St. Mary Cathedral: Each team has a phenomenal runningback who are having an insane senior season. Frankfort has lost to Muskegon Catholic Central the past 2 years in the playoffs and this is the best Panthers team out of the three.

Prediction: Frankort 35-27

Region 2:

District 1 - Hillman at Lincoln Alcona: Hillman got revenge on AuGres last week. Alcona beat Hillman in week 28-8 and should have another comfortable win.

Prediction: Lincoln Alcona 25-7

District 2 - Harbor Beach at Saginaw Nouvel: Both teams are clicking on all cylinders. We rank Harbor Beach slightly higher, but Nouvel is certainly more talented.

Prediction: Nouvel 24-22

Region 3:

District 1 - Muskegon Catholic Central at Mendon: This was always a game MCC dreaded to play as in the past these two split their meetings. The last time Mendon was a contender was 2014 when their current seniors were Freshman. MCC has won the previous four Division 8 titles.

Prediction: Muskegon Catholic Central 31-14

District 2 - Climax-Scotts at Pittsford: Pittsford beat Climax-Scotts in week 8, but we find it tough to believe they'll beat Climax-Scotts twice, especially after C-S put up 84 points last week.

Prediction: Climax-Scotts 28-22

Region 4:

District 1 - Summerfield at Whiteford: A huge rivalry that should be expected to be a close game, but Whiteford is just on another level in terms of how well they're playing as a team.

Prediction: Ottawa Lake Whiteford 38-18

District 2 - Oakland Christian at Everest Academy: The two small northern Oakland County schools will be fighting for a chance to likely to travel to Whiteford next week.

Prediction: Everest 12-6
