Chelsea 2017 WR/ATH Cam Cooper had one successful season at Butler University and announced on Friday afternoon that he would be transferring to Western Michigan University to continue his football career.

Cooper had a nice True Freshman season for the Division 1-FCS program as he had just under 500 punt return yards and played in all 10 of Butler's games in 2017 as a receiver.

Cooper out of Chelsea High School in 2017 held a preferred walk-on opportunity from Western Michigan, but opted for Butler. 10 months later Cooper is ready to return home to WMU.

"After talking with my parents and Coach," said Cam Cooper. "I have made the decision that I will not be attending BU and will be transferring for the spring semester because of some personal reasons. It is what’s best for my family and me."
