Cass Tech 2019 RB/LB "ATH" Jaren Mangham picked up an offer from the University of Florida on Saturday afternoon, which resulted in his 32nd offer. 5 of the offers are from SEC programs including Florida.

Mangham is quite familiar with the new Florida Gators Head Coach Dan Mullen who while at Mississippi State was one of the first schools to offer Mangham. MSU was the 5th school to extend an offer.

Mangham has stayed in touch with Mullen, "I have been speaking with their staff for a while," explained Mangham. "I was talking with Dan Mullen for a while now because he offered me at Mississippi State and I like where the program is headed."

As an offensive coordinator, Mullen led the Florida offense which was a part of 2 national championships, 2006 and 2008. In that time at Florida, Mullen helped mentor Tim Tebow and a young QB who eventually transferred, Cam Newton. Both plays eventually won Heisman Trophies. While at Mississippi State, Mullen turned the program around into a winning one from 2009 until 2017.

Mangham has taken notice of Mullen's past success, "It means that they know how to coach and make their players better," said Mangham. "They also know how to win!"
