Cass Tech 2015 QB Jayru Campbell after two years of JUCO enrolled at Ferris State University this past Fall and took a redshirt. There were mumblings of Campbell being at Ferris State, but until now they've been kept quiet as Campbell ran the Bulldogs scout team in the Fall of 2017.

According to Detroit Free Press writer, Brandon Folsom on Tuesday evening - Jayru Campbell will be playing his final 2 years of college football at 2017's #5 ranked Ferris State University who just concluded their 2017 season in the Division II quarterfinals.

Campbell was once committed to Michigan State and held an offer from Alabama but off-field mistakes derailed Campbell's college football aspirations at the time.

Campbell helped lead his JUCO team, Garden City to the National Title in 2016. Campbell during the year was asked to move to receiver to benefit the team and he did.

Ferris State coach Tony Annese told Folsom that, "he expects Campbell to compete for starting QB role. He’ll play WR as well."
