The Chippewa Valley Big Reds have struggled mightily with their district rivals in the past, Dakota, but for the first time since 2004-1999 have defeated the Cougars in consecutive regular season games. In the process the Big Reds have defended the coveted Superintendents Trophy.

The Big Reds 30 point difference is certainly an oddity as the previous largest lopsided score was a 52-7 by Dakota in 2013. These two teams normally are a touchdown or two better than the other, but Chippewa Valley was on their game Friday, winning 37-7.

2019 RB's Ja'Von Kimpson and Andre Chenault had touchdown runs per the Detroit News and 2019 QB Tommy Schuster was 7/10 for 142 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Chippewa Valley will be praying that Warren Mott can upset Eisenhower and force a share of the MAC Red title if the Big Reds can beat Stevenson.
